Supramolecular one - dimensional objects

چکیده
Preparing polymer-like materials through supramolecular chemistry is an area of growing interest, yet full understanding of how non-covalent forces may be used to prepare such materials is lacking and as a result the success of these strategies is often serendipitous. Recent examples of discrete one-dimensional supramolecular fibers employing the most important types of non-covalent interactions (metal coordination, hydrogen bonding, p–p stacking, hydrophobic effect) illustrate our current ability to prepare these types of materials and point the way for future designs. 2001 Published by Elsevier Science Ltd.

Graph Representations of Three-dimensional Chiral Objects
Chirality of objects is a problem with important applications in biology, pharmacology, medical cosmetology, organic chemistry, inorganic chemistry, supramolecular chemistry, biochemistry, and other branches of science. In this paper we provide a solution for quantification problem of chirality for three-dimensional objects.
متن کاملProgrammed self-assembly of large π-conjugated molecules into electroactive one-dimensional nanostructures.
Electroactive one-dimensional (1D) nano-objects possess inherent unidirectional charge and energy transport capabilities along with anisotropic absorption and emission of light, which are of great advantage for the development of nanometer-scale electronics and optoelectronics. In particular, molecular nanowires formed by self-assembly of π-conjugated molecules attract increasing attention for ...
متن کاملSupramolecular crafting of cell adhesion.
The supramolecular design of bioactive artificial extracellular matrices to control cell behavior is of critical importance in cell therapies and cell assays. Most previous work in this area has focused on polymers or monolayers which preclude control of signal density and accessibility in the nanoscale filamentous environment of natural matrices. We have used here self-assembling supramolecula...
متن کاملOne-dimensional palladium wires: influence of molecular changes on supramolecular structure.
Nanostructured materials based on one-dimensional (1D) metal wires are of potential utility; however, to date, there is a lack of synthetic methods that allow for variation of structure and therefore properties. Here we report the use of molecular control elements to alter the solid-state structures of 1D palladium wires, including Pd-Pd bond distances and the porosity of the supramolecular fra...
متن کاملThe trim loss concentration in one-dimensional cutting stock problem (1D-CSP) by defining a virtual cost
Nowadays, One-Dimensional Cutting Stock Problem (1D-CSP) is used in many industrial processes and re-cently has been considered as one of the most important research topic. In this paper, a metaheuristic algo-rithm based on the Simulated Annealing (SA) method is represented to minimize the trim loss and also to fo-cus the trim loss on the minimum number of large objects. In this method, the 1D-...
